Getting started with SpinApp on macOS

Download SpinApp for macOS, run setup, and start containers to access your Laravel app at my-app.local.

Overview

SpinApp is a product you can use to set up Laravel local development. SpinApp includes download availability for macOS, a project setup wizard, and a flow to start containers so your app runs at my-app.local.

Installation and download

SpinApp provides a download call to action for “Download for macOS v0.1.11.”

SpinApp requirements are:

Requires macOS 12+
Docker Desktop or Colima
Supports Apple Silicon & Intel

Getting started flow for a Laravel project

SpinApp a four-step flow:

Open/select a Laravel project (monolith or API with a Vue/React frontend in the same repo).
Run a setup wizard to choose PHP version, database, Redis, queue driver, and how to serve frontend assets.
Connect your AI assistant, where one click configures MCP for Cursor and Claude Desktop with project rules included.
Start containers where the DB provisions and you can access the app at my-app.local with npm run dev ready.

What to do after containers start

After you start containers:

your database provisions
your app is accessible at my-app.local
npm run dev is ready for frontend development

Platform limitation

Windows is not supported at the moment.
